Warwick Castle

Described by many the most beautiful castle in England, on a bend overlooking the river Avon just south west of the town of Warwick. With grounds by Capability Brown, a renown century landscape architect. The castle itself was rebuilt in the 17th century, the imposing Great Hall, itself one of the finest in the country dates from some 300 years earlier. Open to the public, lots to see and do for all the family.

Just a short walk from the Castle is Mill Street leading to the town. lined with beautiful timber framed houses, once the main gateway into the settlement. Just south of Warwick is Bidford on Avon. Canal boats. Pleasant place for an afternoon picnic.
